Shopping at Publix

This week was a first for me... I went to a coupon class. Over the past several weeks, I had attempted coupon shopping. The first week was great. I spent about $13 at Publix (which I never would shop at if it weren't for coupons) and saved over $20. Not bad for my 1st try. Last week wasn't so good. However, I was determined to make this work. I got my organizational system down. (see earlier post) My friend Rachel conducted this class on Thursday and my eyes were opened. Alot of my questions were answered. Hooray!! That morning I had stopped by Publix to buy Stephen a donut for breakfast and picked up their new sales flyer for the week. I immediately got excited b/c I realized that several of the BOGO items I also had coupons for. Fast forward to today. I went through my coupons this AM and marked them in my ad. I went this afternoon and purchased these items: 2-Lysol Neutra Air spray; 2-80 ct. Lysol wipes; 2 Softsoap hand soap; 2-Lawry's marinades; 1 Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ; 2-boxes of Eggo waffles; 2-Country crock butter; and 1 Mott's Apple Juice. Drum roll please..... I spent $9.85 and saved over $30.00!!!!! WoooHooo!!!!! I am now a believer in coupons!!!! Can't wait to go grocery shopping next week. Stay Tuned.
