Some friends of ours from church the Farleys have 11 baby hamsters at their house. They were born about 4 weeks ago. Thomas has wanted a hamster for a pet for some time now. So we agreed that he could pick a hamster from the Farleys litter. Friday evening we drove over to the Farleys house so that Thomas could pick out the one he wanted. He chose the one with a stripe on his belly. We brought him home and Thomas named him Hershey. The boys have both fallen in love with him. They are learning to be very gentle with him. They also love putting him in the hamster ball and watching him roll all over Thomas' room. If he runs into something, he will change directions. It is quite funny to watch. We know that this little hamster will bring fun and enjoyment for a couple of years. Can't wait to see what he looks like as he gets bigger.
